The roof is the “most stunning addition possible to the building”, Dubai Investment Park-based Premier Composite Technologies Company writes on its website. The circular roof is made up of 44 identical radial panels, averaging 21 metres long and 3 metres wide, with each panel connected to a small central hub positioned in the middle of it. These panels, which were assembled and tested in Dubai, were shipped in pieces to Cupertino, California. The mega campus, which covers 175 acres and is nearing its completion, is one of the last projects approved by Apple founder Steve Jobs.
