CRP Technology has built the supporting structure in a single part: sole, midsole, nails, and ribs. The result is an innovative functional prototype for customization, technologies and materials used. The Windform SP has made it possible to create a special spiked shoe for the track with high elastic properties and resistance to deformation even in thin thicknesses.

CIRCE: an innovative method to recover uncured preimpregned composite scraps

The growing demand of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers (CFRPs) raises some issues related to the relevant environmental impacts of their manufacturing processes. A new IMOCA constructed from declassified carbon fiber

Vendée Globe skipper Armel Tripon is collaborating with Airbus Technocentre of Nantes to develop a new IMOCA constructed from declassified carbon fiber and the remains of composite materials. This boat will be introduced in 2023 and could mark the beginning of a new industry to recover composites for Airbus, for nautical purposes.

Dagli scarti delle microplastiche un nuovo materiale per l’edilizia “green”

Un biopolimero ricavato dalla lavorazione delle alghe rosse permette di sfruttare materiali plastici o inerti di altro genere per realizzare una schiuma adatta all’isolamento acustico e termico delle abitazioni, evitandone la dispersione nell’ambiente marino. L’invenzione del ricercatore Marco Caniato, della Facoltà di Scienze e Tecnologie dell’Università di Bolzano, rappresenta un importante contributo alla lotta contro le microplastiche.
