Future of in-cabin innovation on show at AIX Virtual

AIX Virtual includes all the features that visitors and exhibitors have come to expect from the face-to-face event – from one-to-one business meetings, new product, and services showcases, plus key insights from sector experts via three content streams.

Once registered to attend on the new AIX Virtual event, show attendees are invited to fill in details about their industry interests and business objectives. This information is used to create a personal event profile, which includes an event schedule, content and recommendations completely bespoke to them. With face-to-face online meetings pre-scheduled ahead of the event, attendees are provided with an itemised agenda suited to their schedules, allowing time to view product information, attend conference sessions and attend drop-in meetings.
 

More than 60 airlines are already expected to send high-level representatives, including:

The biggest names in cabin interiors innovation are signed-up, ready to bring their products and services to life via digital stands and video presentations, offering up-to-the minute insights, key benefits and functionality. Major exhibitors already confirmed include Geven SpA, MGR Foamtex, Inmarsat Global Ltd, Safran SA and Sabeti Wain Aerospace Ltd.

 

Not surprisingly hygiene and technology are major features of this year’s event as passengers returning to international and domestic flights expect to find COVID secure environments and contact-less features.
 

MGR Foamtex

Visitors to MGR Foamtex digital exhibition space will be able to see its latest innovation – MGRSafeWall™, a range of products, including soft furnishings on pilot seating, as well as crew rest areas and cabin attendant seating. Elsewhere, ADHETEC, which manufactures technical adhesive films for the aerospace industry, will present an antimicrobial range of antivirus and antibacterial films ideal for IFE screens, tray tables and other high touch areas in the cabin.

 

SEKISUI KYDEX

In addition, SEKISUI KYDEX will display a range of innovative solutions for hygienic cabin design, including its KYDEX ION Technology™. Shortlisted in the Crystal Cabin Awards, the new technology is 99% effective at inhibiting the growth of stain and odour-causing bacteria on KYDEX® Thermoplastics. The antimicrobial treatment is incorporated into the sheet, which helps keep the treated surface hygienic between cleaning.

 

STG Aerospace

Demonstrating the latest in-cabin lighting, STG Aerospace will showcase its next-generation saf-Tglo® emergency floor path marking, with the widest CMF palette and edge-to-edge colour, along photoluminescent signage that can be installed throughout the cabin to complete the emergency exit marking system when used as progression signs.

 

SCHOTT Aviation

SCHOTT Aviation will display its SCHOTT® Jade Reading Light and the flexible SCHOTT® HelioCurve LED. The innovations address two main in-cabin trends around airline differentiation and unique passenger experiences: the design of customizable, individual lighting products that create a unique atmosphere and customer experience and offer latest technology features, and the integration of cabin, seat and monument illumination.

 

Inmarsat Aviation

Demonstrating how digitisation will play a critical role in supporting the aviation industry’s recovery, Inmarsat Aviation will bring its award-winning inflight connectivity solutions to AIX Virtual, including a brand-new platform designed to help airlines monetise onboard Wi-Fi. Inmarsat will also share findings of a major global report into the latest impact of the pandemic on travel habits and passenger expectations.

AIX Virtual replaces the live event, which will not take place this year as a result of the ongoing challenges to international travel. WTCE and AIX will return to Hamburg from 14-16 June 2022 at the Hamburg Messe.
