Chomarat firma l’accordo di distribuzione con Velox

Chomarat has signed an agreement with Velox covering the distribution of Chomarat carbon fibre reinforcements in France, Italy and the UK, as well as the distribution of its complete range of carbon and glass reinforcements in Turkey.
Chomarat reports that the composites market in Turkey is booming, particularly in the transportation sector, and with Velox’s foothold in the Turkish market Chomarat will build up its Rovicore line of glass fibre reinforced sandwich reinforcements for closed mould processes. “The idea is to step up our glass activities and still offer our customers more flexibility over the entire range of our reinforcements,” explains Vincent Cholvy, who is in charge of the Turkish market at Chomarat.
By distributing Chomarat’s products, Velox will develop its offering in the transportation, sports and leisure and boating sectors. “In Europe, the distribution of the Chomarat range of carbon multiaxial range with C-Weave and C-Ply, gives us a real competitive advantage and enables us to maintain our position as an innovation distributor,” notes Serge Gradys, Manager of the Velox Composites Business. “The same is true for the carbon and glass ranges distributed in Turkey.”

The use of CFRP can significantly reduce CO2 emissions in transportation, including airplanes and automobiles. However, a lot of CO2s is released during the production of CFRP, and most used and waste materials end up in landfills. With the growing market of CFRP, there is a strong demand for the development of recycling technologies. Toyota Industries have developed technology that aligns recycled carbon fibers from used CFRP into a uniform, consistent yarn, adapting its well-established cotton spinning methods to carbon fiber….
