Lamiflex: a new autoclave for the processing of carbon fibre components

The new autoclave investment significantly boosts the production capacity of the Northern Italy-headquartered company in general and of CFRP rollers in particular, bringing its fleet of autoclave machines to three, as follows:

  • Autoclave 1 – 4 m xØ1m (nomØ1.4m, vol.8770l, 10bar)
  • Autoclave 2 – 5 m xØ1.5m (nomØ2m, vol.26500l, 6.5bar)
  • Autoclave 3 – 6 m xØ1.6m (nomØ2m, vol.18515l, 10bar),

including one autoclave entirely dedicated to the manufacture of complex components and systems particularly suitable and specifically certified for the aerospace & defence industries, meeting the most demanding international aeronautical standards.

This is an additional important step to render Lamiflex a go-to partner, offering customers a unique combination of materials expertise and one of the widest advanced composites manufacturing capabilities on the market, spanning the full range from in-house Solvent Impregnation, Autoclave, Multi-Chamber and Progressive Presses, Wrapping, Oven, Resin-Transfer Moulding (RTM), Filament Winding, to Pultrusion and Pullwinding and Low-Pressure Moulding Compound (LPMC).

Specialized in materials such as carbon fibre, glassfibre and Kevlar, to name just a few, Lamiflex, with its 40+ year expertise in composites materials formulation, offers products with exceptional versatility and adaptability, customized to specific customer requirements.

Lamiflex will showcase its range of lightweight advanced components and composite systems for multiple industries at the JEC World 2019 trade show. The Lamiflex team will be available in Hall 6 Stand E72 to discuss the portfolio of products, including low-pressure rigid, semi-rigid and flexible airducts for aircraft and rotorcraft, shielding cable ducts for aerospace & defence applications, full range of carbon fibre CFRP rollers for the packaging, converting and tissue machinery applications, rapier tapes and tape wheels for the textile machinery, carbon fibre profiles, rods, doctor blades, and tubes for multiple industrial applications, to name just a selection of products by Lamiflex.
