Xenia focuses on sports footwear

The Italian compounder Xenia Materials has created the new division Xenia Footwear Materials Lab, dedicated to the development and supply of high-performance thermoplastic composites for the sports footwear industry.

The aim – underlines the Vicenza-based company – is to develop innovative materials and new solutions, mainly for the winter sports, outdoor and bike sectors, accompanying customers at every stage of their projects.

Xenia Footwear Materials Lab offers a wide range of cutting-edge thermoplastic composites, engineered by the combination of high-performance fibers and polymeric matrixes such as Polyamide, Polyurethane, Polyolefin, and Elastomers. Committed to the preservation of the environment and inspired by the circular economy model, Xenia Materials enhanced its product range with a whole line of sustainable materials.

The main applications of injection-moulded thermoplastic materials in this sector are hulls, legs, buttresses, insoles and various inserts.
