It is now official, Friday 17 March 2017, the contract between the International Astronautical Federation, IAF and the Center for Applied Astronautics and Microgravitation, ZARM, has been signed. The 69th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2018) will be in Bremen, Germany, from 1 – 5 October 2018.
Six years after the IAC 2012 in Naples, the IAC, in 2018, returns to Europe. The beautiful city of Bremen – the city of space – will host, for the second time, the world’s largest space congress. Germany has played and will play for many years to come a cardinal role in the development of space programmes and space capabilities in Europe and worldwide.
The signature ceremony was attended by what is now called the ‘Team Germany’: German Aerospace Center (DLR), OHB, Airbus Defence and Space, Airbus Safran Launchers, MT Aerospace, and the State of Bremen who also signed a commitment to the Congress.
This contract signature is emblematic of the high quality and great innovations that will characterize the IAC 2018, Bremen. These will evolve around the theme: Involving everyone.
